Webb30 mars 2024 · Buber’s early philosophical work concentrated on Kant’s prolegomena of the phenomenon and noumenon, which connected the differences between what is “seen” by humans and what “really exists” in time and space. He added his own theory to this and came to the conclusion that noumenon always comes before phenomenon. Born in Vienna, Buber came from a family of observant Jews, but broke with Jewish custom to pursue secular studies in philosophy. In 1902, he became the editor of the weekly Die Welt, the central organ of the Zionist movement, although he later withdrew from organizational work in Zionism.
