WebbP99 has 1500ish players on during peak times, compared to several thousand more on phinny. Phinny has the higher popcount by many times what p99 has. As far as players, I played on p99 for a couple of years solid and never really got the interaction I was used to during the original. Phinny seems to recreate that aspect a lot closers to me.
