Turn the adjuster another ½ turn and while keeping the adjuster from moving with the hex socket, tighten the locknut to as close to 35 foot pounds as possible. Once you’re at zero lash, set your torque wrench to the specified torque and tighten the attaching screw. The screw should turn another 1/4 to 3/4 (1/8 to 1/4 turn with short travel lifter) turn until the torque wrench clicks.

The easiest way to set hyd valve lash is by using the EOIC method. As the exhaust valve is starting to open adjust the intake, as the intake is closing, adjust the exhaust.
