We have paid our solicitor a £400 fee to start the searches but they still haven’t received the deeds of sale from our buyer’s solicitor so they can’t even start the searches. Webb27 sep. 2015 · Our solicitors have been a bit slow with the buying and selling of our house, doing things like sending search reports 4 weeks after they were conducted etc (this may be standard practice, who knows). I want to be a bit more 'on it' with them (in a polite way) and make sure things tick over as we want to complete by end of October.
